A new addition to the Sprint Nextel campus celebrated their opening with a ribbon-cuttnig ceremony on September 22.  KeyBank Real Estate Capital opened their new 65,000 square foot office space for about 300 employees.

The ceremony was sponsored by the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce.

KeyBank Real Estate Capital is a leading provider of commercial real estate finance.

Kansas Bioscience Authority to Invest in New Projects and Research

The Kansas Bioscience Authority Executive Committee's plan for fiscal 2012, which begins July 1, 2011, will allow the KBA board to consider up to $29.7 million in new investments. The Missouri-Kansas Chapter of The National Association of Black Social Workers (NABSW) will hold a Spring Networking event for social work and human service professionals. The networking event will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at UMKC- Diastole Center, 2501 Holmes, Kansas City, MO.

According to Chapter Vice President, Eve McGee, “We are excited to share the news that the Missouri-Kansas Chapter of NABSW has reorganized and energized. Our purpose is to advocate for the needs of children, youth, and families within the African American community, but also to network and support those within the helping profession of social work.”

Enercon Services Opens Office in Overland Park

A support company for nuclear power plant projects is hiring people for their new office in Overland Park, Kansas. Enercon Services, located at 92nd & Indian Creek Parkway currently has 15 people in their new office.

The company expects to add another 15 to 20 employees in the near future. Enercon Services has more than 1,200 employees in 17 offices nationwide. The company is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
