Teens, Parent Arrested For Underage Drinking At Graduation Party | News

A group of students and a parent were busted over the weekend, after the teenagers were caught drinking underage at a graduation party. Police said they want others to be aware that they are watching for activity like this during the graduation party season.

Overland Park Police said they stopped a car on Saturday night at 75th and I-35.  Five teens were inside the car, and were cited for minor in possession.  The teens told the officer they had been drinking at a graduation party in southern Overland Park.

When police went to the party, they arrested another minor in possession and an adult for hosting the party.  Six of those arrested face municipal charges and one juvenile will face charges in Johnson County District Court.
