Case Against Overland Park Planned Parenthood Going Forward

A judge will consider this fall whether there is enough evidence to try a Planned Parenthood clinic in Overland Park for the crimes for which it's accused.

Former Johnson County district attorney Phill Kline filed the charges in 2007, accusing the clinic of performing illegal abortions and falsifying records.

Johnson County District Judge Stephen Tatum on Friday scheduled the preliminary hearing for Oct. 14. The Kansas City Star reports the judge also told lawyers for both sides to reach agreements on how to handle and protect sensitive documents.
